Join me to find out how to make your beret work for you. With lots of styling inspo, as well as top tips on all this – not just how to wear a beret!

  • How to resize your beret
  • How to style it
  • How to keep your beret in tip top condition
Whether you have long hair, a fringe, or wear glasses, I’ll show you styling tips to help you get the most from your favourite autumn/winter accessory.

As a milliner, I LOVE hats, but berets are my absolute favourites. Cosy and chic, these are my favourite collection to create and I launch new designs EVERY September.

I always end up snaffling one or two from each annual collection for myself! (Makers keepers and all that)

In this video I chose one of my, particularly on brand, favourite designs. After all, it’s no secret that I’ll a massive fan of pink…and sparkly things!

Are you now fully inspired to Wear a Beret?

If you’ve watched the video and can’t wait to start wearing a beret this season, check out the current collections.

Not sure which to choose? Here’s a few tips to pick the best match for you.

  • Accent colours are a great way to bring a pop of colour to an autumn winter wardrobe – don’t be afraid to go bright!
  • Think about the colour of your other accessories – do you have a favourite scarf or gloves that you would like your beret to coordinate with?
  • Why stop at one beret? Wish lists are there for a reason! If you can’t decide, work that list and share the link to your alternative choice with anyone who may be due to buy you a gift!

Gift Wrap Option Now Available

Gift wrap option now available

My new gift wrap option is now available for all berets and selected hair accessories.

It’s never been easier to buy a gift for a loved one from the Imogen’s Imagination online shop!

I have spent a lot of time developing my packaging over the years. I’ve always strived to make sure that your orders arrive safely through the postal and courier systems.

Whilst this functionality has been key, it’s never been at the expense of the pleasure you should experience when unwrapping your order.

However, this new option takes things to the next level!

What’s New?

This gift wrap option gives you the opportunity to shop for others, great news if you are unable to deliver a present in person. You can have the order sent directly to the lucky recipient, complete with gift wrap and a lovingly written gift message, because obviously they will want to know who to thank!

I’ve chosen all the elements to be as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible. The kraft wrapping paper, paper raffia ribbon, tissue paper and cardboard boxes can be all be recycled. If you don’t want to reuse them first of course!

I’ve also specifically chosen not to use ANY plastic sticky tape in the gift wrapping…in fact there is no tape at all!

I am aiming to reduce my use of this type of plastic tape across all my delivery packaging. It is a work in progress and I look forward to sharing it with you when this revamp has reached it’s conclusion.

Imogen's Imagination Hat Box

Why is the Gift Wrap option not available for hats and fascinators?

Very simply, because these designs are rarely bought as gifts.

All hats and fascinators come with a hat box for storage as standard. They also include a ribbon bow that can be used as a carry handle too.

However, if you would like to add gift wrap to one of these designs, please do contact me before placing your order.

Want to see what is hiding underneath that silver wrapping paper?

I knew you would so I’ve done a few unboxing videos. This one is for the style of gift wrap used for a flower hair clip. It would also be used for all hair accessory designs that won’t fit through a letter box.

You can see more sample videos via my official YouTube channel…and still there are more to come!

Open Studios at Exchange Place

Imogen's Imagination Open Studios 2019
Imogen's Imagination Open Studios 2019

Open Studios is always the annual highlight of the year at Exchange Place Studios.

Ever wondered what artists get up to in their creative spaces?

Our Open Studios event is a rare opportunity to find out!

Naturally, my studio on the 5th Floor will be open for you to visit. This is your chance to see where I spend my days working, and catch me doing some demonstrations too…every day is a work day!

This is the perfect chance to come and play with hats as I will have a full display set up. There will be some new designs, as well as firm favourites.

This will be my only event before Christmas and my card reader will be primed to allow you to start your gift shopping!

If you want to start your wish list, you can see all designs in stock here.

Visitors can venture inside both the Yorkshire Artspace Sheffield City Centre buildings and see over 100 artists and makers from over 30 different disciplines at work. There really is something for everyone!

Open Studios is a chance to catch a glimpse into the creative process, chat with the artists and makers and even buy work direct from the space it comes to life in.

There will also be a chance to view the Painterly Exchange exhibition at Exchange Place during Open Studios.

If you fancy getting creative, there will also be the opportunity to take part in free painting workshops during the weekend.

Need to refuel?  Local cafe Albie’s will serving coffee and cake on site too!

Yprkshire Artspace Open Studios 2019

If you would like a sneaky peek at what you can expect to see during the weekend, check out the fab video from Yorkshire Artspace…you may spot a familiar face!

When I agreed to be filmed, I didn’t know that the footage would be used in a separate project.

Imagine my shock (one dark, rainy and very late Friday night) on seeing images of myself being projected onto the side of the studio!

However, it was a huge honour to be featured as part of the Making Masterpieces project in conjunction with the Big Draw Mural.

Over 300 people took part in creating the mural and you can see it next to Exchange Place studios.
