Description
Lilac straw button hat with pleated lilac silk detailing.
This piece is fully lined inside with a complimenting purple, pale-green and beige striped taffeta-style fabric, and is trimmed with a co-ordinating lilac petersham ribbon.
As with all my occasion hats, I make this elegant piece by hand, using traditional millinery techniques. I hand-block and hand-sew each hat, except for a small amount of machine stitching on the lining.
Dimensions of Hat
- Diameter: approximately 17cm (6.5 inches)
- Height: approximately 4 cm (1.5 inches)
- Circumference: approximately 53cm (21 inches)
How to Wear this Hat
This Lilac Straw and Silk Button Hat can be worn to the left or right of the head. The combination of a thin elastic with a pair of small metal combs will make it easy for you to secure the hat firmly in place.
Where to Wear this Hat
I created this piece with formal spring and summer events in mind. For example, this hat would be perfect for a race day, a wedding, or even a cocktail party. The lightweight and breathable straw will keep you cool in the heat, while the pale lilac hue of the hat is just right for this time of year.
Gifting Information
I will send your piece in a white hat box, which I carefully pack with acid free tissue paper, and finish with a pink satin ribbon. Storing your hat in this tissue-filled box will keep it in tip top condition for many years to come.
Although I don’t offer gift wrap for these designs, I can add a gift message card if you are gifting from a distance.
Please do complete your message in the box above, especially if you’d like it to be delivered direct to the lucky lass. Don’t forget to say who it is a gift for…and importantly, who it is from!
Looking For Something a Little Different?
I created this Lilac Straw Button Hat as a one-of-a-kind piece. However, I can use the design as inspiration for a bespoke order – creating something unique, tailored to your specifications. If you would like to discuss this option, please do drop me a message, and I will get back to you.
