Description
Black straw bow with lilac petersham ribbon edging and a birdcage veil.
I have designed this piece so that the bow will hug the head, while the veil skims the end of the wearer’s nose. However the length of the veil may alter depending on the positioning of the bow.
For freeform pieces, like this one, I rely on the traditional milinery techniques of steaming and pinning, as well as my own creativity.
Dimensions of Bow
- Length: approximately 22cm (8.75 inches)
- Width: approximately 12cm (4.75 inches)
- Height: approximately 2.5 cm (1 inches)
How to Wear this Headpiece
This black straw bow with birdcage veil can be worn to either the left or right of the head. There is a small metal comb, discretely attached to the base of the bow, which makes it easy for you to secure the piece firmly in place.
Where to Wear this Headpiece
I created this piece with formal spring and summer events in mind. This lightweight, yet statement piece, would be perfect for a race day, a wedding, or even a cocktail party.
Gifting Information
I will send your piece in an ivory hat box, which I carefully pack with acid free tissue paper, and finish with a pink satin ribbon. Storing your headpiece in this tissue-filled box will keep it in tip top condition for many years to come.
Although I don’t offer gift wrap for these designs, I can add a gift message card if you are gifting from a distance.
Please do complete your message in the box above, especially if you’d like it to be delivered direct to the lucky lass. Don’t forget to say who it is a gift for…and importantly, who it is from!
Looking For Something a Little Different?
I created this Bow with Birdcage Veil as a one-of-a-kind piece. However, I can use the design as inspiration for a bespoke order – creating something unique, tailored to your specifications. If you would like to discuss this option, please do drop me a message, and I will get back to you.
