Pale pink sinamay sloped beret hat with loops and biot feathers.
This beautifully elegant sinamay hat designed to be worn to either the left or right of the head.
Using traditional millinery techniques, this hat has been hand-blocked to mould the sloped beret shaped base of the hat.
The same sinamay has been used to make a set of simple yet elegant hand sewn loops that add height and drama to the design.
Finally, florishes of curled biot feathers have been handsewn to the design – these will flutter in a breeze and bring movement to the overall look.
This understated, yet impactful, decoration will work with floral, geometric or abstract prints.
This hat is finished inside with a coordinating pale pink petersham ribbon.
This design is part of my Pick and Mix collection. Significantly, this collection is designed to be as versatile as possible. Each design allows for variations to colour, shape of hat, as well as the option to personalise the decoration with extra features. For example, feathers could be remvoved to make this design vegan-friendly.

- Width: approximately 18cm (7 inches)
- Length: approximately 19cm (7.5 inches)
- Height: approximately 5 cm (2 inches)
The loops add approximately 7cm (2.5 inches) to the height of the design.
How to Wear this Hat
I have designed this pale pink sloped beret hat with loops to be worn to either side of the head, at a slight angle towards the face.
A black adjustable elastic will be fitted depending on your chosen position. This is used to secure the piece in place. The elastic is thin enough to be hidden in your hair, thereby creating the illusion that the hat is magically perched on the head.
Where to Wear this Hat
I created this pale pink sinamay hat with formal spring and summer events in mind, however it is a great all rounder. It would be perfect for a race day meet or a wedding. The lightweight and breathable sinamay is perfect for both indoor and outdoor events.
Meanwhile, this pretty shade of pink can be paired with a variety of seasonal palettes. The classic loops are a timeless and versatile style of decoration and will work with all kinds of printed fabrics.
Gifting Information
Your hat will be sent in an ivory square hat box. This will be carefully packed with acid free tissue paper, and finished with a pink satin ribbon. Storing your hat in this tissue-filled box will keep it in tip top condition for many years to come.
Although I don’t offer gift wrap for these designs, I can add a gift message card if you are gifting from a distance.
