Leopard print felt percher hat, trimmed with a simple, black felt bow.
This dainty, yet striking, tan and black leopard print cocktail hat would be perfect for all formal occasions, including race day meets and weddings.
As with all my occasion hats, I made this elegant hat by hand, using traditional millinery techniques. For this particular hat, I have hand hand-blocked, and almost entirely handsewn the piece, apart from a small amount of machine stitching to the lining.
I finished the inside of the hat by fully lining it with black silk dupion. After which, I finished by trimming with a coordinating black petersham ribbon.
Dimensions of Hat
- Width: approximately 13cm (5.5 inches)
- Length: approximately 15cm (6 inches)
- Height: approximately 5 cm (2 inches)
At its tallest point, the felt bow adds approximately 10cm (4 inches) extra in height to the hat. The bow measures approximately 20cm (8 inches) in length.
How to Wear this Hat
I created this hat to be worn to the right of the head, and is designed to skim the wearer’s temple.
I have added a black, adjustable elastic to the hat, which you can use to secure the piece in place. This elastic is thin enough to be hidden in your hair, thereby creating the illusion that the hat is magically perched on the head.

Gifting Information
I will send your piece in a white hat box, which I carefully pack with acid free tissue paper, and finish with a pink satin ribbon. Storing your hat in this tissue-filled box will keep it in tip top condition for many years to come.
Although I don’t offer gift wrap for these designs, I can add a gift message card if you are gifting from a distance.
