Burgundy, pleated velvet, sloped beret hat.
As with all my occasion hats, I make this elegant piece by hand, using traditional millinery techniques. For this particular hat, I have hand-blocked and almost entirely handsewn the piece, save for a small amount of machine stitching on the lining.
The ruched, silk velvet, which I have used in this piece, creates a sumptuous and jewel-bright look; Whilst also providing a small amount of height, creating an elegant piece for autumn or winter weddings and race days.
The piece is fully lined inside with a complimenting burgundy, bottle green and mustard silk tartan.

How to Wear this Hat
I have designed this burgundy, pleated velvet, sloped beret hat to be worn to the right of the head. I have fitted the hat with a thin, adjustable black elastic, which is used to secure the hat in place. This elastic is thin enough to be hidden in your hair, thereby creating the illusion that the hat is magically perched on the head.
Where to Wear this Hat
I created this piece with formal autumn and winter occasions in mind. The rich, sumptuous velvet is perfect for this time of year. This is a hat that would look chic at any formal occasion; from a race day, to a wedding, or even a cocktail party.
Gifting Information
I will send your piece in an ivory hat box, which I carefully pack with acid free tissue paper, and finish with a pink satin ribbon. Storing your hat in this tissue-filled box will keep it in tip top condition for many years to come.
Although I don’t offer gift wrap for these designs, I can add a gift message card if you are gifting from a distance.
