Duck Egg Blue Beret with Large Velvet Leaves

Description

A duck egg blue wool felt beret decorated with handsewn velvet ribbon leaves in shades of blue, teal and turquoise.

This beret is fabulous antidote to Blue Monday and gives soothing ocean vibes in rich, yet relaxing blue tones.

This technique of making leaves with ribbon is a great way of using up scraps – so this is definitely a “destash” design!

Over the years, I’ve accumulated all sort of odds and ends of ribbon, most in colours I can’t find again. The turquoise leaf is made from scraps I’ve had for about 18 years, just waiting for the perfect project! The palest leaf is made with the same ribbon I use for my Velvet Ribbon Bow beret and the teal ribbon is featured in a shimmering sequin occasion hat too.

Sadly though, this specific combination of colours is a One of Kind design – I’ve used the very last of the darker colours from my stash.

I could recreate this design with any of the colours used for my Velvet Ribbon berets, so if you would like a custom order design with a different colour beret, please get in touch ASAP!

Perfect for winter these extra thick, 100% wool berets are super cosy. So if you need a colour injection that will last from Winter into Spring, this is the perfect accessory to bring a colour pop to a navy winter coat.

Sizing

• Ladies one size
• Diameter: approximately 26.5cm (10.5 inches)

These berets will comfortably fit an average head size of approximately 21-22 inches. However, they do stretch with regular wearing.

It is also possible to make the berets bigger by unfolding the inner lip of the beret. This does increase the size significantly.
