Modern Millinery
I have designed and handmade all of the hats in this collection, working from my Sheffield studio.

Many of the elements which make up these pieces have been created using reclaimed materials and the free-form method.

This modern technique dispenses with the rigidity of the hand-blocking process, which is traditionally used to create hats.

Instead, I shape my free form hats directly onto a head-shaped form, called a “Dolly”. This process relies solely on my own creativity and skill as a milliner, and creates a more relaxed, whimsical style to these modern hats. With no prescribed structure to adhere to, these pieces offer a softer style and a sense of fun – perfect if you’re looking for a more modern take on the occasion hat.
